Welcome
Discovery Church is a place where we have a love for preaching and teaching: we actually treat the Bible like it is God's word. We take an "expository" approach in our preaching and teaching which means that the main idea of the Scripture being preached is the main idea of the sermon or lesson. We strive to be hospitable and relational. It is hard to attend without being welcomed. We love our children. Children worship with their parents and parents are challenged to be the primary disciple-makers of their children. We are in downtown Yankton because we want to reach people who might not be comfortable in a traditional church. Our coffee shop operates at least 3 days a week to specifically love and serve those experiencing homelessness or temporary crisis. We want to help people get connected to available resources and love them with the love of Christ.
Mere Apologetics Family Conference
Join us on May 2nd for our annual C.S. Lewis Family Conference. There will be talks and breakout sessions for adults, youth, children, men and women. There will be a free lunch served along with bouncy houses and games for kids. You will have a chance to purchase books from our bookstore.
